Vicarious Mud

That was awesome. It doesn't get any better than this. Best to just watch. Here are the final 30 km, beginning with Nibali and Sastre's crash.

Over in the FGBC Giro Pool, the gaps were as big as they were in the real race. Dallas and Jonny B tied for the win with 300 points apiece. That's the highest point totals for a stage so far. Meanwhile, there were a number of goose eggs laid today as well. Ian, Keith, Kevin, and I didn't manage to score a single point. And Craig had just 5. But Jonah is still cruising along. He was third on the day, with 265 points. He pushes his lead back up over 100 points. Olli has moved up into second and Adam dropped into third.

Full results and standings here.

On the menu for tomorrow? Mountains. How can you not love the Giro?

Here's my take on today at the giro.

There are three types of people in this world. There are the non cyclists who can't be bothered , there are the stat watchers who don't actually watch cycling but pay attention to who wins and there are the fans. The fans are the ones who can witness a beautiful race and no matter who shined at that time appreciate it for what it was.
Now I know because i have done it myself that at last half the people following this blog don't watch the videos but i just have to say watch at least the final video. You really do need to see the whole race to see it get set up but I say at least watch the last video here. If you don't think it was a epic , spectacular day I will give you you're 10 minutes back.

How you say?
well the next time you see me you can go on a 10 minute rant about it and I won't even say 1 word. If you know me at all you'll know that's pretty much priceless right there.

Oh and good luck to everyone who is racing tomorrow. I wish I had your money :)
