Your task: assemble a team of nine riders consisting of 5 men and 4 women to compete vicariously at high level cx races in both Europe and North America. Specifically, your team will be broken down as follows:
3 European Men
2 European Women
2 North American Men
2 North American Women
When assembling your team, pay careful attention to the values that the FGBC's Dept. of Low Stakes Gambling has assigned to each rider. Your three European men can't total
We will use the same scoring system as we have in the past. See it here.
Which races will be included? This year we will include all UCI 1 and 2 races at which there are at least five riders (in each of the mens and womens races) who appear on the rider list below.

Submit your team here by Friday at midnight.

Jonathon Page is European? I know he lives in Belgium...
Wait. I get it, he only races in Europe therefore...
The spreadsheet makes it sound like your European man must total 10, the NA men must total 6, etc.
Otherwise if it just has to be less than 10 I pick Albert, Nys, and Stybar.
European men. Whether your European man is a 10 is no concern of mine. Even if it is Cancellara.
Yikes. Good catch. More = less. And max = min. It is opposite day here at the FGBC. Writing is hard. Almost as hard as math. And maybe even a bit harder than cyclocross.
In any case, your Euro Men must add up to 10 or more (if you like). 6 or more for the other three categories. It should be noted that this is hardly an exact science science. Whether it all evens out is something we won't know for a while. But if you want a breakdown to do some strategic calculating, here's a summary:
#1 rated Euro Men each had 4000 pts or more.
The 2s were roughly between 2500 and 3500.
The 3s were between 1000-2000.
The 4s between 500 and 1000.
And the 5s were less than 500 points, and in many cases less than 100.
Of course, those are all last year's numbers. This year could be an entirely different story.
And finally, my boyfriend is more than a 10--even on an off year.
