Wool Call

This will be the final call for the wool jerseys before I place an order. Based on responses to previous posts, the following are confirmed:

Colin
Chris
Darryl
Craig
Neuf – XXL
Dallas – Med x 2
Adam (2)

That’s nine, so we need at least 3 more confirmed to bring the price down to a reasonable amount. People on the list for whom there is no size listed should confirm how big they are. See http://www.oregoncyclewear.com/MerinoWool.html for sizing.

The design will be finalized shortly (by the Tuesday Night Committee, so if you're at all particular, ride), but expect something like this:

Just black is another option, but we would have some red lettering:

These are 100% merino wool jerseys, and based on the RRR one we saw on the other night, they seem quite deluxe. Kevin said the proprietor was also very good to deal with. Final cost, depending on whether we go with lettering on both sides, should be around $80-90.
Here’s the best part though: we can mix and match to add up to the 12, so you can get it in short-sleeve, long-sleeve, or both. As those of us who sport the Nordic Cross wool on a daily basis know, one can never have too many long sleeved jerseys come winter.
If the order reaches 30, it gets cheaper yet, so get one of each, and buy one for the spouse - who can resist a woman in black?
Kevin said it only took about 3 weeks for their order to arrive, so if we could get this together quickly, we’ll get them with plenty of cross season to go.
Either respond here or email wooljerseyATmtsDOTcom. Make sure to specify size AND sleeve length. If the style committee approves colour options as official, I'll be asking you that too.

I will take a small, long sleeved, if they are in men's sizes.

Best to check the sizing chart via the link Cousin Adam provided. It is not "men's" but "unisex." I believe that means they will fit Fraggles too.

Oh dear, I didn't expect any trouble, but now it's a one or more situation... can I have too many wool things that say Fort Garry Bike Club in BIG letters?

Good luck this weekend Dallas. I can't even imagine what a race like that must be like. We will raise a good luck pint for you at the F&H this evening.

Tinker Tim would like one xl (do these shrink? cause I'm right in between a L and XL) looong sleeve and a Small looong sleeve for Liz (xc ski season is right after cross season). Would like to joing you 2night but I also am made of sugar.

I'm in for an XL - long sleeves.

I plan on lots of winter riding and Nordic Cross-ing this winter (tell me there are plans for more Nordic Cross!!!) and what better wool jersey could there be (well, except for the sweet TrgCoop merino wool jersey that Deanna W. hand-made for me :-))!!

Based on this sizing info, please amend mine to XXL w/longsleeves for my 29-er friendly frame :-)

Nice work, kids. We're up to 22 already.
I will post a final list tomorrow with all the missing info I still need (size AND sleeve length, remember), and for any corrections, and place the order Friday.
But I have to ask, since the overwhelming majority of you are opting for long-sleeve (only): what are you going to wear until the temp drops below zero?

Hey Matt

I seem to recall you saying you had a small nordic cross jersey kickin' around. is that still true? If so, I'll take it.

Cricket said...

and a medium, probably short

mhandsco said...

It's got your name on it Craig.

(Not literally of course... Wouldn't that have been wierd?)

Cricket said...
