Anyone who rode (finished or not) will tell you that was hard. It was so hot. The Impaler went out like gangbusters. That may have been his downfall. There were folks who did 1 lap and felt like hurling. I don't know how Greg Sherwin did it. That guy was riding for his life. I was scared. There may have been a dog (or possibly Big Foot) chasing him.
...kind of in the same way I'm happy for my five year-old when she "beats" me in a sprint to the end of the sidewalk. The exuded elation is worth conceding the victory. Of course, "conceding" implies it was contested...
Seriously though, it sounded like a hard race. Good on you. With 2 Butter Belts on Team CMU, those trash-talking grannies won't know what hit them.
That was a freakin nice course and a gorgeous day. Great turnout and nice shirts.
I wish I could have rode longer than 20 minutes when I crashed. I limped in with a rashed up leg and a right upper side that looked like a kick boxed used me as a bag . I hurt like I haven't hurt in all 15 years of riding.
Thanks to everyone at the start who listened to me whine. I really really liked the race last year and had been looking forward to it this year. I was extremely bummed to not be able to finish.
anyways, thanks again to the T.C boys for putting on a absolutely top notch race.

PS - that white belt looks gay.
They picked it out cause it goes with the shoes.
watch out grannies.
WOW G ... now you've done it ... I suddenly find myself totally coveting a Butter Belt!?!
I may not qualify, but next year I WILL be in the fight!
Thanks G, and thanks to everyone for the encouragement out there.. Great people in this sport.
Nice job on the BELT!
And yes, I was running scared.
I was outclassed. Nice work G.
