Bring It

Nordic Cross training has commenced. In case anyone is wondering, the Poosher confirmed that slicks are not a preferable tyre choice for these conditions.

Yeah, but the laws of physics don't apply to that guy.

My 8 km this morning was very hard. Slicks, and digging through everywhere. All the roads seemed off camber. But, I got to work, felt great! I'm glad I didn't pansy out with the first flakes. Call it character building.

OK. Make that two guys the laws of physics don't apply too. Slicks? That's mental.

My 7 kms was mostly west into the gale force wind, mostly deep snow, mostly way overgeared. Character building for sure.

Switched to 42 X 20 and wider tires this evening, because I am a pansy. But I will be back out there tomorrow.

Screw you winter! You can't break me.

Make that 'to'.

Sweet Brad! Btw... tonight on my commute home, as I was attempting to stop at a stop sign, a drunk pedestrian yelled out to me "You F**'in cyclists. Always holding up traffic." Nice. Even pedestrians hate cyclists.

I also rode around 7km on slicks in the snow, but unlike JP I had a few cars on Portage roll down their window and actually cheer me on... never had that happen to me before. Regardless the slicks have been traded in favour of some slightly more appropriate tires.

Motorists cheering? A sign of the Apocalypse to be sure.
