Have you considered just leaving it the way it is? Think of how much lighter it would be lugging it up the hill in Altona.Hal probably has some spare parts kicking around. Maybe if you offered to clean his bathroom for a year . . . .
Sweet! Is there a story here? Austro-Italian cycling heritage at its best! As for components: a nice Suntour Superbe gruppo, or something exotic like Edco or Zeus would be waaay cool.Campy's pretty super awesome too. A bike shop can get build kits through Marinoni for a decent price.
Marinoni!?!?....ack! cough! cough!ya can pretty much get Campy anywhere now....anywhere!!or ya could make into one of those new-fangled "prairie bikes"...should run ya about 2 grand....
The choice is easy: Mavic Zap.What could go wrong?
I bow to your bike shoppe wisdom!I've got a 3TTT stem 12cm I'll give to the project, black Bianchi H-bars 44cm and a black 27.2 bianchi s-post if it fits.
thank you for the opinions... I'm not convinced it will have gears yet, although this esteemed panel of experts is welcome to comment.dr. h's suggestion is cheapest so far... and he's right, the rest of the parts all make it so much heavier. guess that's why he's a dr.thanks for the offers matt, we will talk soon.
if one believes that fixed gears have jumped the shark (and some time ago according to the bike fashionistas (whatever the hell that means???)) then you should build it up as a multi speed. it is a great looking frame.
Only Fonzie jumps the shark.
all hail the Fonzarelli!
