I still need to find a place to park myself in the library. Right now I'm trying the black market route in search of a locked carrel. I've offered $50 a month to any grad student who is willing to give me his/her key for the school year. Until then, I'm working from home or the various lovely reading rooms around campus.
There's a Cross Lab at Omand's Creek starting at 7pm and wrapping up probably at about 8:30-9pm.
Mr. Impaler - I may drop by the cross lab after my scheduled blood donation to watch/heckle. If so, I'll bring those pedals and a skinny cross tire I found for you.
Cross Lab on Tuesdays? Interesting. The only way I see that making sense is to consider it warmup for the Tuesday Night Ride. Anyone who opts for the former instead of the latter needs to reconsider priorities. We are exactly what we are.
As for the carrel, it's not so much the cost of building as obtaining permission to build in a desireable location that seems to be the problem. Something will work.
I'll be at the cross lab, sliding around on my road tires, and will be very motivated to guzzle a couple of pints after the inevitable crashes, (and the obligatory Tuesday Night Ride, of course). Heckling will be appropriate, because my mounting technique is comical for sure. That sounds a little dirty...
ah yes, conflict. cross labs were switched to accommodate the proposed upcoming duathalons and may go to tuesday/thursday format so people can have a choice. no reason you can not do both on a tuesday.
There's no conflict. On the contrary, it's all the more reason to look forward to Tuesdays. I just want to call bullshit in advance on anyone who skips the TNR but does Cross Lab. That's not right.
I'm glad you confirmed your attendance at this evening's event; I was wondering how I was going to connect with you to heckle you about driving around in the rain with a custom steel cross bike on the roof of your car WITH NO SEATPOST in the frame. Yikes dude.
Although I do not have either a custom bike (too fat/slow to justify such a luxury) or a grudge (yet) I think I might join in the fun for one last hard ride before XC8. 3-hours would be perfect for me :)
I was feeling tired after my first day of work, but after reading the 18 blogs I am feeling inspired to ride tonight. I also need to brag a little when it comes to my prowess for picking riders for... that thing that I currently sitting in first place for.

Chris -
have you considered installing your own study carrel? Your budget suggests the possibility of constructing something yourself.

Does anyone attending the cross lab know where G's house is?
