Supercross report

Supercross was, well, super. Better than advertised really. All kinds of new bits added to the classic course to make it better than ever. Kind of like Coke Classic and that "new formula" from the '80s all wrapped up in one tasty can of soda. The mud bog from hell was all that and more. And the combination of mud and pea gravel made for a few moments of unclipped anxiety. Lots of mechanicals, and I don't think I was the only one to crash either.

Luc rocked the B race. It was not even close. And he hit the mud more agressively than anyone I saw. Which resulted in a few nice endos for the spectators.

The A race featured more passes than the Palomino club on a Friday night. All kinds of passing and being passed as people got dropped by crashes or mechanicals only to re-pass as the passers suffered problems of their own. Or something like that. But I don't think anyone passed Daniel, who took the win.

Then into the Belgian Club to finish it off in style, with awards, chit-chat, and traditional Belgian dancing. And I walked away with a new bike. Sweet. This one's going to the missus.

I believe if you look closely at the photo of the Dr., Cam and Paul floundering in the bog, the edges of smiles can be seen on all their faces. Weird. Does this prove that all comedy is, in essence, tragedy?

Haiku?

The smiles are even more visible in the picture that immediately followed: http://photoshare.shaw.ca/image/7/5/9/74963/provcross79-0.jpg?rev=0

That was one freakin great course and an absolutely awesome day.
This cross season has been one of the better bike seasons for me entertainment wise in literally years.
Thanks to all you kids who put the races on. Without you I'd already be running loops at the grotto instead of shooting the shit with friends , getting my ass kicked weekly on the courses and ever figuring out "where the hell altona is."
