Get yer climbing legs on, boys and girls. Next Tuesday we return to a rather more traditional style of bike racing. You know, the kind where the racing actually involves riding a bike.
Halberto, Jonny G, and me had a sweet race there a few years ago. It seems like a good time for a return engagement. Unlike The Coward Formerly Known as Juan "Name Me a Cuisine" Eppstein, I will be there to defend the victory I garnered in the inaugural edition. A successful defense it may not turn out to be, but that's the risk a real competitor is willing to take. The only way to find out is to show up and throw it down. Be there.

Road or trail?
I'd better start taking my CERA right now...
Brad
Trail. 3 times up and down the hill per lap.
This may be a good time to point out that I am the oldest and probably heaviest guy.
And I hate to suffer.
See you at the clubhouse.
Brad
Old? Heavy? That's pathetic. The FGBC requires you to check your excuses at the door.
I'll send you an email with the address to The Coward Formerly Known as Juan "Name Me a Cuisine" Eppstein's house. Instead of showing up at the clubhouse, you can go hang out with him.
I am not the oldest,
I am not the youngest
I am not the heaviest (fattest?)
I am not the strongest
I am not the weakest
I am not the fastest
I am not the slowest
I do not have the most bling bike
I do not have the scrappiest bike
I do not have the best cycling tan
I “do have” a cycling tan
I DO, however, LOVE TO SUFFER THE MOST!
Please tell me this is not one of those little 20-minute sprint things you guys call races.
2-hours is what is called for. Come on this is summer Race your bikes!
Wow. Some banter I was hoping to unleash, but this?
I will definitely show up and race. For pride, for honour, and maybe to edge out Colin and Tenacious V, the other two old farts.
Looking forward to it.
Maybe include a puke prime?

Um, Coach Dave, since we're talking trash here: I seem to recall that during our annual winter 24 hour race, you left at around the 6 hour mark.
Sadly, we can't have any 2 hour Tuesday Night Races, since that cuts into the F&H time and totally screws up the ratio of racing to carousing.
Looks like everybody is getting a head start on Grudge Cross! Finally people are starting to show some spirit! I hope everybody and their dogs will be attending this weekend’s race on a new and pristine course! With the forecasted rain it should be a sludge fest sure to some regular leaders crying to the back of the pack and the hard men of the mountains to the front where they truly belong. The price is right… $10 bucks.
The rig will be dusted off for this kids of mud race. I can honestly say I hope it rains like great flood was happening (but no lightning as they'll cancel the race if that happens.)
