How Awesome Was It?
It was very awesome. And so the question that was on everyone's mind has now been answered. It was all around good times. But it was awesome, mostly, because we won the race. This on account of an arcane and rather enigmatic rule that was brought to our attention rather late in the game--sometime after the Impaler was picked up by his chauffeur. From section VII, article 5 of the CBCC--the Compendium of Bike Club Challenges--we read the following: "If, at the end of a lap race whose occurance is simultaneous with a party, the last three people in attendance should happen to be from any one team, then that team shall be awarded three laps." So when Jonny G, the Cricket and doused the still glowing embers of the Impaler's supply of sweet wood at 2am, the end result was a 55-54 victory for the FGBC. That is right. We won! How sweet is that?

Good times. What happened to Dallas? And Hal? Saw Hal for two minutes and then gone. Dallas probably had the most individual laps of all. I think He actually won overall. Oh well, thanks for the beer Dallas. Wished you would have hung around. As far as the rest of the race went, I wasn't counting beer laps, but I'm sure the FGBC took the lead on that one too.
Thanks for the "competition".
I rode 5 of my maximum 10 laps. The math doesn't equate.
But that's okay, I'm not complaining as the night ended on a good note. I didn't have to sleep in the garage as Deb was still up when I got home. *whew*
post pics or it never happened.
That was definitely a crazy good time. I have to admit I was a little over whelmed by the family atmosphere , beer and unimaginable amount of washine machine laps I would have had to do if I'd stay. The way you kids were riding was to fast for my blood and with no one to take the reins for a few laps while I had a beer i felt pressure to bow before my new masters.
Thanks for letting me crash for a few hours and it was definitely one of the best events of the year.
Food, good people, beer and crazy fast laps in a tiny tiny park, How great is that?
Dallas " Man you kids know how to have a good time." Sigurdur
A display of RRR awesomeness. Again accomplishing much while greatly outnumbered. Next time a bigger keg is in order. Maybe there should be a keg at the 24 hour race.
Too bad you couldn't hang out longer, Dallas. Missed your banter as we stared at each other around the backyard fire.
A great night of biking awesomeness, even though (and because of) I had to head off to Graham W's BDay party in the middle!
My report with pics and video here:

Paddy ... it happened and there were some 'Paddy did that?' stories around the fire ... next time eh!
hmmm...
well, whatever I did I'm sure I had accomplices...
Sounded like a scene, Dallas told me he had a blast but scrammed b/f he ended up drunk
Do any FGBCers even read this shyte anymore?
KK, your 5 laps were counted. We just needed to find a way to get 3 more. It was close.
Why do you think Jonny G is smiling all the time. He always finds a way to win.
Photos coming. I was at my Grandma's 95th birthday party in Winkler all day. She is awesome. Good times.
