The 2010 FGBC TdF Pool is Open for Business

Here we go, boys and girls. Are you ready? Those of you who've been here before know the drill. But for the newcomers, the rules are as follows:

1. Pick a team of nine riders and send them here. Your team must be submitted before Saturday, 7am Winnipeg time (CDT).

2. There is no entry fee. But in lieu of an entry fee, a donation to Team CMU is probably a good idea if you haven't already done that.

3. The pool is open to all. Feel free to invite others to participate.

4. Points will be awarded based on the scoring system below (scroll down).

5. Any rider who is disqualified from the race for a doping violation (during the race) forfeits all his points. Survive the race and your points stay.

The list of riders can be found here.

Picking Riders: Please read these five criteria very, very carefully. This exercise will require some basic math skills and an understanding of simple logical operators (esp. "and," "or," and "not"). Criterion #3 has proven to be especially tricky for some in the past, since it requires the simultaneous negotiation of two different lists. Pay attention to the words in bold and it shouldn't be too hard. The timeline is tight. I won't have time to check over your teams for you. Screw it up and you don't get to play.

1. Pick two GC riders. Their numbers (to the right of the rider's name) must add up to four or more.

2. Pick two sprinters. Numbers must add up to four or more.

3. TT Men & Climbers - Pick one rider from each list. Their combined numbers must add up to four or more.

4. Pick one Stage Hunter. There are no values assigned to stage hunters. It's wide open.

5. Pick two Wild Cards. Again, no values. Pick wisely and you can put your team over the top.

I thought God was your co-pilot and if you're American your health insurance.

Is that your version of the mile high club? Wilt Chamberlain would be disappointed.
