SP #5

It was a muddy affair in Geiten yesterday, for the 5th round of the Superprestige series. Klaas Vantornout jumped out to an early lead, with Nys and Wellens chasing. Wellens was able to bridge up when Vantornout crashed into a pole. But Vantornout held on to win the sprint, taking his first big win of the year. Wellens finished second and Nys third. It seems Nys has been challenged this year like he hasn't been in a long time. Nice. Full results and report over at CN.

Highlights:

Jonny M took the win in the FGBC CX Pool. He picked up 350 points on the day. He takes back 160 points from Gary. But it will take a few more wins from Vantornout if he's going to close the gap. Chris A finished off a nice weekend with 300 points and a second place finish. He was sitting in 10th place heading into the weekend, but has moved up to 6th. Adam also had 300 points. Unfortunately, he's still a long way back.
